I became acquainted with Dr. Chad Kamel in 2007 when he was a Specialty Resident, Graduate Prosthodontics at UAB School of Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama. It developed into an exceptional dentist/patient relationship. After a comprehensive oral evaluation Dr. Kamel submitted a treatment plan that we agreed upon and one I could comfortably budget within the given time frame. And I never felt pressured to go beyond those parameters. While under his care I underwent some very involved surgeries for implants. At no time did I ever have any misgivings about his skills or methodology due to his past experience and practice. My personal observation was that he was highly regarded by his peers and faculty. Whenever I had oral surgeries he would without fail contact me much later in the day to check up on any post op difficulties that may have arose. I never had any complications, which underscores his expertise and concern. I know that he spent some long hours at the clinic, which indicates to me devout dedication to homing his skills and caring for his patients. Not only is Dr. Kamel thoroughly accomplished in his chairside manner but he is also simultaneously affable to alleviate patient anxiety. His philosophy is “do what is best for the patient” not what is expedient for himself or the clinic–a refreshing alternative to more common business tenets. I highly recommend Dr. Kamel. Had he not relocated I would still seek his services without hesitation. My only regret is that I did not get to see the completion of your treatment plan. You’re going to be a tough act to follow Dr. Kamel.
